“Kaspar” is a faithful copy of the infamous Kaspar the Savoy Cat of the Savoy hotel in London. The client was struck not only by the sculpture’s beauty, but was also captivated by the enigmatic history of it as the additional guest of honor to supplement any party of thirteen, warding off bad luck. She was so struck that she just had to have a Kaspar of her own. Luckily I was able to accommodate her with a hand carved and painted replica.
